One of Albany's favourite playgrounds, its recently been upgraded with pirate themed equipment. Sits alongside a cafe where parents can be outside overlooking the playground. Take Middleton Road from the town centre all the way to the beach & playground. Parking nearby.

The Snakerun Heritage Skatepark

The Snakerun Heritage Skatepark

Since its inception the Snake Run skate park has attracted global attention. It winds 140 metres downhill and is designed to simulate surfboard riding. It has been placed on the state's heritage register. Believed to be the oldest community built skate park in Australia and the second oldest in the world. Built in 1976 after a group of Albany High School students began fundraising for the project. Location: 162/172 Hare St, Mount Clarence WA 6330

Emu Point Playground

Emu Point Playground

This playground is newly improved with a vast array of state-of-the-art play equipment. Its worth the trip, just to see them smile :) On a sunny week-day this playground doubles as an informal playgroup with mums and bubs gathering with their latte's in the sunshine (nearby Emu Point Cafe makes great coffee). Make new friends in Albany WA. Drive out of town on Middleton Road, take Golf Links road to the end where you will find the Emu Point Playground overlooking Oyster Harbour and the Channel.

Our playgrounds are second to none. Albany WA has some of the best
state-of-the-art playgrounds in Western Australia. At Middleton beach is the kids pirate ship,
a much loved fantasy playground. The Snake Run skate park is heritage listed
as one of the worlds first serious skate parks at 140 meters long and
designed to simulate surfing.
