Southern Art Trail Tour
TAKE A ROAD TRIP WITH BUSY BLUE BUS & we’ll show you four venues in or near Walpole in one day, seeing the works of over ten artists & meeting with some. Dingo Flat Studio, the exhibition space at Tree Top Walk, Petrichor Gallery & the Marilyn Barrington's studio. Relax, sit back and let us do the driving; lunch included. Tour departs Friday 4th October at 8.30am from the Albany Visitor Centre and returns 4.30pm.

A visit to Dave Taylor's unique Lothlorien Studio is a must-do activity. A multi awarded artist blacksmith & wood worker, Dave's work varies from gates, railings & home adornments through to furniture & sculpture. The Studio is located in the scenic area of Takalarup,14 kms down Takalarup Rd from the Porongurup Chester Pass Rd intersection, at 150 Pettit Rise Takalarup.

Dr Michelle Frantom
Dr Michelle Frantom is a traditionally trained career visual artist who moved into digital media over a decade ago. Drawing has always been, and still is, her favourite creative outlet. She usually starts with pencil on paper, converts to digital and finishes off in either Photoshop, Illustrator, Manga Studio 5 or a combination of these. In the past few years Michelle has been focusing on illustration, working part-time as a tutor for Curtin University, exhibiting annually with MIX Inc.
Darrel Ratcliffe - Chainsaw Carver
Darrel is a chainsaw artist who has carved sculptures for Emu Point, Eyre Park and Cull Park.
He has won prizes at the Plantagenet Art Prize, York Show, Albany Show, Denmark Fine Wood Competition and Porongurup Art in the Park show. He has opened a unique sculpture drive on his Albany property where he creates his large timber artworks. Tour busses are welcome to visit Sculpture Drive, entry is free, please stay inside your vehicle.

Hazel Blake is a fine art photographer using Photoshop to blur the line between photography and art creating with a style that is emotive, surreal and timeless. Using magical light she focuses on subjects of the divine feminine, the darkness within and the playful self. Brian Davis - Timber Artist
Brian Davis has been designing and creating original pieces of furniture and crated items from locally grown timber, since 1995. His work is inspired by and responds to the wood he uses in the pieces he makes.

S & B Shale Handcrafted Pottery
Suzanne & Bruce Shale have been making pottery since 1991. Their work is both functional and fun, quirky & original and is inspired by the colours and forms of the flora and fauna of the Albany area. The pieces produced by this creative duo express the joy they find in their work. Their work includes decorative stoneware, wall plaques and vases depicting seahorses seadragons and marine life.

I have worked on a series of oil on canvas paintings, using the Kalgan River near my home in Albany to focus on the space where the landform structures meet the river water. The place of confluence.
